We enjoy sports. Steve likes to play some and watch some, Laura is really mostly a spectator. In the US, Steve routinely played ultimate frisbee on Sundays, and volleyball on Tuesdays, and Laura would tag along with book and chair and "watch." Here, other than a few rousing games of table tennis (they are very passionate about ping pong here), Steve's main exercise so far has been walking, and one day of volleyball at the beach. Laura gets a lot of walking in too, so that's a plus-it's hard to be a spectator at walking-especially when it is your only means of transportation.
On TV we can watch football (soccer), basketball, handball, water polo and futsal (or something like it). Steve uses the internet to keep us caught up on baseball and American football.

So, you want to invest in a digital camera? With so many options concerning features and qualities it can be a difficult decision when buying a digital camera. This is even without including the various advertisements and different ratings that are used to promote these products.
What are the important aspects of such a device you should consider before going through with a purchase? Before answering a question like this you should conisider 2 sets of guidelines. Dont go a step further without making some guidelines as to what features you want and when you want it. To do this, you can ask yourself the following questions:
1. What sort of photos will you be taking? This will help you in determining which camera to buy. If you are a serious photographer you dont want to buy something that takes relatively poor photos. Youll want to pay close attention to the different features such as digital or optical zoom, total megapixels and battery life.
2. How much is your budget? This is a very important question any person who intends to buy digital camera should ask. It doesnt really matter what you WANT in a camera if your budget cannot afford it!
3. Do you already have accessories? Somtimes the price does not stop at the camera alone if you need additional accessories to suit your needs. Having a powerful enough computer for editing and a printer good enough for photo-quality printing are other things you should consider. You might already own the editing software and printer but the cost of other accessories can add up too. Youll probably want to upgrade the memory capacity as the standard amounts are usually insufficient.
After answering these 3 questions, the second set of questions youll want to answer before you buy digital camera are some of the bells and whistles youll want. These are:
4. Resolution. The total megapixel count will ultimately determine the quality of pictures youll be able to take. The more number pixels, the higher the resolution which can allow photos to be enlarged without losing image quality.
5. Built-in Memory. The built-in and expanded memory is where your photos will be stored. Be sure to take into account the amount of built-in memory as well as the expandable memory. You can have multiple cards for extended storage and even swap them on-the-fly.
6. LCD. If you want to see photos before and after you shoot the display is important. This display can act as a view finder as well as providing instant playback of photos and videos. This has to be considered when you buy digital camera because it uses up a lot of battery power.
7. Other Special Features. Special features that will suit your needs should be thought about too before you buy digital camera. If you want your camera to have good zooming you can opt for those with optical zoom lenses. A diopter adjustment on the digital cameras viewfinder will also be beneficial to those who regularly wear glasses. Dont forget about a tripod, remote control and possibly an external flash.
Now that youve educated yourself you can make an informed decision about your new purchase. Discover some of the best digital camera prices on the net today at www.auctions4acause.com.

The year is 2142 and the dawn of a new Ice age has thrown the world into a panic. The soil not covered by ice can only feed a fraction of the Earth's population. The math is simple and brutal: some will live, most will die. In Battlefield 2142, players choose to fight for one of two military superpowers - the European Union or the newly formed Pan Asian Coalition -in an epic battle for survival.
Armed with a devastating arsenal of hi-tech weaponry, including assault rifles, cloaking devices and sentry guns, players will also take control of the most lethal vehicles known to man. Massive Battle Walkers wage fierce combat on the ground, while futuristic aircraft rule the skies. When taking on this futuristic armor players will need to use their wits and an arsenal of new hi-tech countermeasures like EMP grenades and smart mines to level the playing field.
Epic online gameplay for up to 64 players drops gamers on the front lines as part of a formal squad, or behind the scenes in Commander Mode to direct the strategic assaults of their team-mates.
For the first time in the history of the franchise, Battlefield 2142 will include a brand new game type to complement the classic conquest game. The epic, new Titan mode challenges gamers to destroy the opposing army's Titan - a massive, heavily armored, flying warship - while defending their own. To defeat a Titan, gamers must first take down its shields, board the craft and fight to its inner core before detonating it from the inside. This genre leading gameplay innovation changes the way you play, encouraging both teamplay and strategy in explosive large-scale confrontations.
With in-game success, players increase their rank and unlock awards, including new weapons, medals and more, delivering the most comprehensive and flexible persistence in the Battlefield universe to date.

it. The painting was titled, Early Morning at OVC and was completed in April of 1980. It consisted if three young men, friends, in a parking lot exchanging pleasantries. Or just chit-chattingwho knows? But Vasquez painted life into the scene by making it so believable through the way he played light against the many textures surrounding them and how the characters simply belong (the Golden Triangle is well represented here). Although the scene incorporates a great amount of detail such as the shading of the cement sidewalk, the weathered paint on a trash dumpster and graffiti on a wall that looks as if you can actually feel the coarseness of the stucco, nothing steals away from the main focus of the composition-the three young men. The painting conveys the feeling that regardless of family problems, job difficulties or social pressures, this is a time of tranquility to be savored in the crisp morning hours of a new day. Peace shared between brothers, void of pretense. A few precious moments appreciated simply for what they were-a chance to be free. These are rare personal moments that should always be cherished and art allows us to re-experience those feelings whenever we need to and even when we dont. And as you can see it became the painting of choice.
Vasquezs interest in art began in Kindergarten. He would copy the drawings in comic books and base them on stories his father told him about the Mexican Revolution. In the late s he took up oil painting. In the mid s, inspired by Diego Rivera, he painted his first mural in his parents patio. In 1979 he would go on to earn his Masters in Art. His works have appeared in the milestone exhibitions of Chicano art, including the 1975 Chicanarte exhibit at the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery, and in UCLAs Chicano Art: Resistance and Affirmation in 1990.

For everything there is a season,
And a time for every matter under heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die;
A time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;
A time to kill, and a time to heal;
A time to break down, and a time to build up;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh;
A time to mourn, and a time to dance;
A time to throw away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
A time to embrace, And a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to seek, and a time to lose;
A time to keep, and a time to throw away;
A time to tear, and a time to sew;
A time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
A time to love, and a time to hate,
A time for war, and a time for peace.

It could be another five months before Toronto-area MPP Greg Sorbara unveils his Ontario Tourism Competitiveness Study. But based on comments made by Sorbara Tuesday, local tourism operators might not like what he has to say.
Two of the citys most controversial issues -the destination marketing fee and local destination marketing organizations -are on Sorbaras radar. And he thinks both would benefit from a change.
I think you have to put yourself in the mindset of the visitor, Sorbara -who took on the task of finding out how to make Ontario more competitive on the world stage earlier this summer -said of the way Niagara is marketed around the globe.
The visitor wants to know more about what not just Niagara Falls, but all of Niagara, has to offer.
Translation: Two destination marketing organizations (Niagara Falls Tourism, which markets Niagara Falls and Tourism Niagara, an off-shoot of regional government which is responsible for marketing the entire peninsula) means two different messages and a confused prospective visitor.

Football season is finally here and now is the time to hop on board for another season of winners from our handicappers. If you are serious about making the most money possible this year, then you need to consider signing up for a season long package. It is the best deal out there as far as price per play is concerned, allowing you to build up your bankroll quickly for less. To help you make a choice on which handicapper to select, we advise you to click on the top cappers link in the top menu. Then you can see who was hot last year or who is hot this year. Our handicappers have nothing to hide so they will show you their records, and just how much money they have already made clients in the early going. It's going to be another great season of winning, so let one of the BetFirms handicappers lead you to profits this year!
We are confident that the football predictions released by the handicappers are the best around. Unlike most handicappers, the services on our site factor in a number of key variables when making their college and nfl expert picks. This means that some days there are going to be a lot of different selections available and on other days there will only be a few. You won't see any service on our site forcing plays just to have action, it would affect their records and thus their long term success with the clients that are on board.

Since blogging about my "real" job would be political suicide and potentially detrimental to me professionally I have decided to start sharing my thoughts around my bottom-of-the-barrel clothes whoring job.
So, a month ago I decided to clean up my life. Two objectives here: 1.) stop wasting time 2.) pay off my debt. A series of action led me to *almost* hand in my application at a Starf*cks- I mean bucks. This may or may not have included me aimlessly wandering around a strip mall near the place where I worked. It also may or may not have included an intake of a yummy Haveyapos;s burger. Nevertheless the strip mall was screaming hire me. Oh the abundant choices Checkout scanning grocery lacky? or a burger flipping one? Selling overpriced tacky home "decor" or smell like a greasy oil vat? Decisions, decisions.
I did grab a coffee scented application and was excited at the prospect of being a *hip* barista (finally) Of course I had the essentials: quirky Asian looks to amuse the white folk in helping them feel superior about a sub-servant heating up their six dollar drink (I have been working on my Anime Doe-eyes) and of course a masters degree in something completely useless (not pretentiously theses based, but still shady).
So trucking along, just as I step outside of burn java, I saw my future.
Markapos;s Work WEARhouse.
Their tag line: "Clothes that Work" Itapos;s a clothing company that mostly cater to people in the trades, medical field, collared stripped shirts, khakis, dress pants, button downs etc. They also sell a lot of gadgets: think lower end Eddie Bauer.
Iapos;m thinking, oh good, teenagers would NEVER shop here. Good enough for me. I walk in.
The sell: Laurie. She smiles big. She is wearing clothing not from Marks (BIG BONUS. I absolutely would hate working for a retail clothing store that MAKES you wear their stuff. Screw that I donapos;t want to be a Gap model or for that matter pump money BACK into your unethical corporate sleaze)
"Oh, I used to work over there (points to java land) and let. Me. Tell. You. It. Is. A. Hard. Job. Come work here, better pay, less stress."
And here we are.
*
Itapos;s been my sixth? seventh? shift now? Hereapos;s the score:
Stupid old people: 1
Attempted shoplifter: 1
Cute security guard: 1
Cardboard angst: 2

On things economic, I think the decline wonapos;t bottom out until the banks and other financial institutions consolidate enough and then take stock (if youapos;ll pardon the expression) of their assets, holdings, and debts. From there they will begin to restructure themselves with the economy to follow.
What will the government do? There will be more regulation, or at least more watching, probably by both the Treasury and the Federal Reserve. I think the money supply will be constricted in order revalue the dollar and allow businesses to have some buying power with their greenback. Also, this might be the best way to control inflation.
On other things, well, itapos;s the end of the day, and I am going to have a busy day tomorrow. Job Security is good thing.
Itapos;s only 10 after 5. I havenapos;t mused like this in a while.
Iapos;m thinking the month of October will be spent, for the most part, just going to work. Unless I catch a ride and have enough money,EK Crown is probably out. My next event will probably be 100 Minutes War. Dunno, but thatapos;s probably a money situation too.
Thoapos; I enjoy writing fiction, I need to get back to scholarship before time really runs out for this fall. This mean contacting Blaecstan for drawings, and writing a preliminary draft of another paper. Also, the ongoing bibliography needs work; the Royal Armouries hasnapos;t sent any sort of word to me about. To hell with them. They had a couple of months. The least they could have done is drop me an email, but not even thatapos;s come.

This was a good weekend, you know? I seriously needed one like this.
Saturday morning: I had my third knitting-of-le-sockage class, and it went really well; the baby-booties (completed now) were duly admired and critiqued (apos;not at all bad for a beginnerapos;) and the other socks were looked over. I was, yes, pronounced as a definite masochist for doing intarsia in whatapos;s really only my second full set of socks, but apparently I did it right. **cheers**
Saturday afternoon: Me, Morgan, John, Patrick and Linda all took our sandwiches and side-dishes and (as rain was threatening over Mt. Lemmon, our original goal) headed over to Agua Caliente Park. It took some doing, getting there; we went a rather roundabout route, but eventually arrived and settled down for lunch. The weather was beautiful, really-- cloudy, but breezy and cool enough to be perfectly comfortable. We pigged out and fed ducks and fish (we saw the Great Albino Catfish God again), visited the warm spring (which I once more illegally climbed down to check out) and generally had a nice, relaxed time. It was good to see everybody; I may hermit too much, but I havenapos;t forgotton my friends and it looks like they havenapos;t forgotten me either. **happy**
Today: Did some necessary cleaning around the apartment-- changed the litter boxes, swept a bit, that sort of thing. Went and took care of the rent; visited a yarn store, apos;Purlapos;sapos;, which was outrageously expensive (didnapos;t buy anything; too broke and I donapos;t need any more yarn right now). And then I tackled the big cleaning project: the 30-gallon aquarium, which has been doing poorly. Man, I drained it COMPLETELY dry after I caught my four remaining fish; I took out all the pebbles, washed apos;em off with hot water, washed all the large rocks, cleaned dead leaves away from the plants, scrubbed the glass, cleaned and refurbished the filter... And then I put everything back together again. It looks MAGNIFICENT. Clear water, no gook in the filter-- Iapos;m going to snag some more plants and a new light when I can; not sure if my poor beta, Alpha, is going to make it, though, heapos;s not looking good.
Aaagh; my muscles ache from hauling 30 gallons of water from the bathroom into the living-room, but it was worth it.
Tonight: knitting on a secret project I came up with; not gonna tell what. Other than that, mostly just relaxing with all the windows open... It feels so good outside, cool and clear. The desert has a particular scent in the Autumn thatapos;s hard to describe-- it isnapos;t a dead-leaves smell... If anything, itapos;s a cool-stone taste in the air. It smells amazing tonight.
Tomorrow Admin Review really gets going at work-- we have to haul all the binders over to our main building and arrange apos;em in order, many dozens of them. Hope to gods everybodyapos;s got their shit together, we canapos;t do it all. And the State peopleapos;ll be here on Tuesday, so... Here goes. Gonna be a busy week
Have a good one, yapos;all.

After having his durability questioned, which will happen when you replace the iron man, Brett Favre, Rodgers ended up playing in week 5 against the Atlanta Falcons and lit up the fantasy scoreboard, going for 313 passing yards, 3 TDs, and 1 INT. With the performance, Rodgers has proven he can not only play through pain, but that he can excel with it. He should excel again this week as the Packers get set to face a Seattle Seahawks defense that was just shredded by Eli Manning and has allowed 7 passing TDs on the year, while intercepting opposing QBs just once.
QUARTERBACKS - SIT 'EM
Peyton Manning (Indianapolis Colts) vs. Baltimore
It used to be that the only question surrounding Peyton Manning when it came to the weekly quarterback rankings was whether the Colts' QB would be number one. Now, Manning is on the brink of slipping out of the top ten and is no longer a must play. While Manning did put up 15 points against the Houston Texans in week 5, a good deal of those came only after Sage Rosenfels' fumblitis in the last 4 minutes of the game. We're not too thrilled about Manning's week 6 match-up with a Ravens defense that is giving up just 128.5 passing yards per game and has intercepted QBs 7 times, while only giving up 3 passing TDs, and you shouldn't be either.

The disillusionment of Wall Street myth has further endangered the already downward global economy, and posed a fresh threat to China's foreign trade, which is already on the verge of collapse.
'The year 2008 has thus far proved to be the most arduous year for China's foreign trade exports since its entry into the WTO,' predicted in the beginning of the year by international authorities. The latest statistics suggested that, from January through to August this year, China's foreign trade exports went up by 22.4 percent, while it was 27,7 percent the same period last year, showing a dim prospect for China's foreign trade.
One of the basic point used to judge the general tendency of China's foreign trade is nothing but the U.S economy. Currently, the sub-prime mortgage crisis is far from conclusion, and the U.S economy has been obviously on the decline. Even worse, the financial storms set up by Frannie Mae and Freddie Mac, both suffering severe bad debts, has been extending all the way from the financial institutions to the economic entities, leading to the weakness of the individual consumption growth, which accounts for 2/3 of the U.S GDP, and the shrinking demands for imports.
Meanwhile, China and the U.S. have been crucial trade partners to each other. But compare with last year, the bilateral trade volume dropped by 3.1 percentage points in the first eight months of the year. In particular, the orders placed for Chinese toys and garments, which used to enjoy a bulky share in the U.S market, turned to a sharp decline. Lehman Brothers, together with another four major investment banks, went bankrupt almost overnight. The 'Domino' effects induced by the precarious U.S economy have already sent many other major economic entities swaying and drifting. More over, the economic growth in the Euro Zone has so far produced no good results in sight.
The Japanese economy has been bogged down in stagnation, and the growth rate of emerging economies have suffered a severe setback, serving as an indication of an impending expansion of the financial crisis from the developed countries into the developing countries, which will unavoidably deliver a harsh blow to China's exports.
On top of that, the exacerbation of the global inflation and the untamed price hike in energy and resources have directly jacked up the production costs; besides, the international ocean freight has also gone up by more than 30 percent. Consequently, the costs gap between the developed countries and the emerging economies will have been narrowed, causing the possible return of international manufacturing industries to the developed countries and their neighboring regions. In a long run, the relative advantages of 'made-in-Chinas' would possibly be offset, and China's competitiveness in exports would be dulled. Additionally, the global geopolitics is getting increasingly complex, neo trade protectionism is looking up, and in future, the trade barriers against China would increase rather than decrease.
From the perspectives of China's domestic situation, with the rise in costs and the revaluation of RMB, as well as the monetary policies, many export-oriented and labor-intensive industries and enterprises cannot run profitably and efficiently in the country's bustling business areas lying along the Yangtze Delta and the Pearl Delta. But generally speaking, the challenges facing China's foreign trade are mostly from outside uncertainties instead of coming within China. At present, the difficulties from both outside and inside are interweaving and accumulating, and the foreign demands continue to shrink. It is expected that in the second half of the year the growth rate in China's exports would see no bounce-back, even though no cascading fall is predicted.
Fortunately, the turning point in China's foreign trade development does not loom ahead. Compared with others, China's present growth rate in exports still remains higher. The basic facets of China's economy stay intact, and its development quality and efficiency tend to look up. Moreover, the 'three carriages' for economic development run more steadily, and the fiscal revenues grow by leaps and bounds; priorities of the macro-economic policy have been shifted from 'two prevents', namely, prevent the economic development from overheating, and prevent the prices hike from evolving into the evident inflation, to 'one guarantee, one prevent', so to speak, besides the prevention of prices hike, the steady and smooth economic development must be guaranteed. As regards China's export economy, there is still enough room for manoeuvre.
Beyond doubt, foreign trade acts as a strong driving force for China's economic growth, and the global economic turbulence could also hit China. But as Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao was quoted as saying in his official visit to the U.S, 'in history, the world economy has gone through ups and downs, but it survived and gained the new momentum for development,' China's economy is now at the stage of restructuring and transformation, and thereby, being cautious and prudent is not only a matter of practical attitude, but more a chance for further development.
It is hard to take omens from Wall Street storm, as it could recur in future, but it is by no means the calamity of exterminating the world. The linchpin for recovery is the ability to convert 'risks' into 'opportunities,' and the confidence, which is considered more valuable than gold when crisis breaks out. It is convincing that China's foreign trade will scale new heights by braving the U.S born financial storms.

There is a difference between being good at a sport and truly excelling at it. You may never wish to compete in a sport climbing event, but that does not mean you do not want to develop your rockclimbing skills to the next level. A climbing school is a great way to improve your technical skills while learning how to increase your speed. A good school can even help you master areas with which you are having difficulty.

Going wild in Pennsylvania with wedding planning in the Poconos!
With its colonial charm, major cities, and universities, one of the best and most surprising places to have a wedding in Pennsylvania is in the Pocono Mountain Range in the northeastern portion of the state, which is home to 80 percent of the state’s resorts.
Imagine a wedding rehearsal dinner with a fire crackling in the background, local wine being passed around, and snow falling outside the window. Then, the next morning, the bride’s white dress hanging in a window dusted with fresh snow as she readies herself for the ceremony. Who wouldn’t feel the romance with candles burning, snow falling, and vows being said in this a magical setting?
Party planning ideas come just as easy, thanks to the numerous outdoors activities available to visitors of the Poconos. Friends and family can go hunting, fishing, or they can watch a race at the Pocono 500. For the people wanting to stay inside, there are many spas and fine dining options in the region as well.
Envelop yourself with some the most beautiful surroundings in Pennsylvania State!
Pennsylvania’s botanical gardens are considered some of the most beautiful in the country. Bartram’s Garden is the oldest botanical garden in the United States, and Morris Arboretu contains ninety-two acres of Victorian gardens and some of Philadelphias most treasured trees. Longwood Gardens is the most impressive garden in the commonwealth at over 1,000 acres of flowers, conservatories, fountains, and manicured gardens, which make every inch a perfect place for wedding. Strings playing, a fountain flowing in the background, and the rich smell of flowers floating into the air make for a wedding straight from a scene in a Jane Austen novel!
Pennsylvania is prepared for anything!
A wedding in Pennsylvania has endless possibilities. With its wineries, festivals, and museums awaiting anyone who ventures into this proud state, any event is sure to please! The rich history and diversity in the commonwealth can suit almost any wedding or party idea conceivable! Take your unbridled imagination to Pennsylvania and experience your dream wedding or party! The possibilities are endless.

Ughhh I would be done for the day today except for the fact that Ihave to take my stupid mentees to some dumb event. A third of them have already told me that they canapos;t come, and Iapos;d MUCh rather spend my day sleeping or studying or something. Shmeh. Oh well...it shouldnapos;t take too long, Ihope. Afterwards Ihave to outline a lot of my USFPmidterm, becauseI was a lazy shit last night and didnapos;t do it. Iapos;m reviewing tonight with Katie from my class, but I really donapos;t feel like doing it. Ugh. All I want to do is weekend, and this weekend canapos;t even be weekend because Ferg and Di are coming and theyapos;ll be my guests and Iapos;ll need to entertain them. Not that I mind, of course. Next weekend is my fall break and Iapos;m not sure if Iapos;m going down to SMCM or staying here. Tessa and Amanda will be gone, Katie is talking about being gone too, and Nick is like never around ever so if Louis and I stayed here, weapos;d have the house basically to ourselves. Thatapos;d be really nice...maybe heapos;ll want to come up next weekend. OOHmaybe if he does Iapos;ll pick out some recipes and weapos;ll make dinner together I really let my mind wander a little too much I think. You donapos;t even want to know about what Iapos;m thinking for next semester...Paris. All I can say, really, is fuck. Yeah.

I just got an email saying that my language proficiency isnapos;t high enough to attend the MICEFA program. Shmeh. Itapos;s not bad that Iapos;ll have to do the Enclave, they just need to move all my shit over to that. I donapos;t have to fill out anything else, which is good, and I honestly like the structure of the Enclave a little better. Itapos;s smaller. BUTll be living with a homestay (I donapos;t know if this is good or bad) and Iapos;m done the last week in May. Should Istay in France with Louis a little longer? Weapos;ll see.
Iapos;m procastinating SOBAD right now. Like...epicly bad. Ineed to keep studying AHHHHbut I just donapos;t want to. I mean, it is only 8ish. I think maybe Iapos;ll just finish up this last question and do the rest tomorrow after work and or during class. I want it to be the weekend. Tonight is my last night sleeping alone until Tuesday :) itapos;s a good feeling.

Of the nine dismissals in the U.S. attorney scandal, the firing of former New Mexico U.S. Atty. David Iglesias was probably the most blatantly partisan.
A Justice Dept. inspector general report released last week concluded that Iglesias was forced to leave because he didnt pursue public corruption and voter fraud cases that New Mexico Republicans wanted him to prosecute.
Now, 22 months after his dismissal, Iglesias said in a phone interview that the IG report vindicates his repeated assertion that he was fired for improper and possibly illegal reasons.
