Ando knows it's a trick and is all oh hell no, you are not apologizing. However, Mama P knows exactly how to get Hiro excited (not the same way as she got his daddy riled up, though) and tells him that she knows he has the key to saving the world. It's buried very deep. Who's the hero and who's the villain? It's way to easy to trick Pikachu into thinking he's the only one who can save the world. I don't trust Mama P, but I'd love for her to sit in on salary negotiations with me. Please.

Work has begun on the new Wal-Mart store to be built north of Parker on State Route 95. On Sept. 30, crews began leveling ground at the site, which is located across Riverside Drive from the Moovayla Plaza Shopping Center.

Wal-Mart spokesperson Delia Garcia said the store would be approximately 100,000 square feet in size. She said this is about half the size of the old store in Lake Havasu City. The store will feature grocery and general merchandise items, and will include a pharmacy, a deli and a garden center.

Normally autumn, with its launch of the television season here in the US, is one of my favorite times of the year. I devour the Entertainment Weekly guide to fall TV, reading it to tatters, then carefully plot out what Im going to watch, and how, since our Tivo can record two shows at a time. This year, however, was different. Perhaps the quality of shows took too big of a hit with the writers strike earlier this year. Perhaps Ive simply reached my allowable tolerance for only-OK television. In any case, my interest is failing fast.
I canceled the season pass for Dirty Sexy Money before the season even began. Ive dropped Heroes and Sarah Connor: Terminator. Im waiting to hear how the Mentalist is; the premiere was good, Simon Baker is very good, but Im tired of watching shows that are only OK except for one thing: Life for Damian Lewis, Bones for the witty banter, the overcrowded House for what Hugh Laurie is going to do or say next. When I look at my Tivo to-do list, I find only a few shows that I consider A-list: Mad Men, Project Runway, the Office, and 30 Rock. Id add How I Met Your Mother, only its wildly uneven, and last nights was really lame.
Im highly dependent on, and grateful for, the tv critiques of Alan Sepinwall. He likes the good stuff, and is intolerant of the mediocre and bad stuff.

The chief architect of a proposed resort casino in western Maines Oxford County outlined design plans Tuesday and the company said it hoped to announce a specific location for the $150 million project before the end of next week.Officials of the Olympia Group unveiled a concept sketch of Oxford Highlands Resort-Spa-Casino in advance of a Nov. 4 statewide referendum that will determine whether the project will be allowed to go forward.
Architect Peter Wilday of Reno, Nev., said he was attempting to re-create the charm of an old New England village. This isnt a big Wal-Mart (nyse: WMT ) box out there, he said, citing such features as dormers, turrets, cornices, lots of brickwork and buildings of various sizes set amid clusters of mature trees.
The project, to be built in two phases, would include a 300-room hotel, a 30,000-square-foot conference center and 100,000 square feet of casino space that would accommodate various table games and up to 1,500 slot machines, Wilday said. Other amenities would include a spa, three restaurants and indoor and outdoor swimming pools, he said. A golf course could be added later.
Wilday, whose familiarity with Maine reflects the summers he spent as a child on Maranacook Lake in central Maine, said the casino and four-seasons resort will be the finest such facility on the East Coast. It will be smaller. A lot smaller. But it will be the best.
Las Vegas-based Olympia, which bought control of the venture from Evergreen Mountain Enterprises after its founder abandoned the campaign following legal problems, vowed Tuesday to pump $100 million into the project in the first year. An additional $50 million would be invested in the second phase of construction.
Wilday and spokeswoman Pat LaMarche said the turmoil in the financial markets would not affect the companys ability to raise capital for the project.
The company is very well funded. They deal with projects of this size all the time, Wilday said.
Wilday said his design concept is far different from that of Maines only other gambling palace, the $132 million Hollywood Slots that opened this summer in Bangor. Free from the constraints posed by an 8-acre urban parcel, Wilday said he could avoid a approach and blend the resorts components in a village-like setting.

The Issue: The first of a four debate series with three debates between Senators John McCain and Barack Obama and one debate between Governor Sarah Palin and Senator Joe Biden took place last Friday, September 26, 2008 at the University of Mississippi.  With both parties claiming victory in the debate and the pundits supporting their relative biases, who really showed they have the knowledge and leadership to lead the country in this first debate?
The original topic selected for the debate was foreign policy (expected to be a big topic given our continued involvement in Iraq and the concern of Iran nuclear proliferation), but the topic was broadened to include fiscal policy due to the recent developement of the lending market economic troubles.  Jim Lehrer of CBS moderated the debate and did quite a fine job of not allowing the candidates to make unsupported statement.
The first half of the debate focused of the financial crisis.  McCain seemed quite nervious arriving on the stage.  He had previously tried to cancel the appearance and might have been unprepared.  His justification for cancelling the debate was to allow him and the other two senators in the election to focus of the struggling economy, not on the election.
Fiscal Policy: Obama comes out on top
When asked about the financial crisis McCain and Obama had similar answers (both refered to hurt on main street), but McCain proposes tax cuts to stimulate business and spending freezes in Congress.  Obama, on the other hand, wants to increase federal spending for new programs to spur the economy.  While both were merely touting the policies of their respective parties, Obama seemed more confident than McCain.  It is notable that Jim Lehrer, the moderator, asked the question How will the economic crisis affect your plans for office and what will you have to cut? and Obama said there were no items in his spending plan that he could cut.
Foreign Policy: McCain schools Obama
The second half of the debate focused on foreign policy.  Specifically, the candidates talked about Iraq, Iran and Afghanistan.  Obama has been supporting a troop pullout of Iraq and an increased effort in Afghanistan saying that the battle against terrorism is in Afghanistan, not Iraq.  John McCain argued that developing democracy in Iraq is vital in order to continue to have allies in the region.  McCain also criticized Obama for declaring that he would sit down to talks with Iran without precondition.
During the course of the foreign policy debate, McCain and Obama used more targeted language.  John McCain used the phrase What Senator Obama doesnt seem to understand.. at least 7 times during the course of the foreign policy debate.  Obama used the phrase I agree with John 8 times.
Debate Victor?  It depends who you ask and what issue is important to you.  I am more interested to see the debate between Sarah Palin and Joe Biden.
